Tourists in Zagreb will soon have the opportunity to see the sights of the city from a new touristic bus line. The new line will be introduced by the city council in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, and passengers will be driven around in buses that belong to Zagreb Electric Tram. The departure point of the new touristic bus line will be on Bakačeva Street near the cathedral, and it will tour the most important historical and cultural locations in the Upper and Lower Towns, including a visit to the unique cemetery, Mirogoj.

The Tourist Board and the agency Ibus are already offering visits to the city's sights via minibuses. Tours leave from the cathedral everyday at 10 AM and last three hours. The itinerary includes a total of 30 of the most important historical locations in the Upper and Lower Towns where many significant events have occurred throughout the city's thousand years of history, and where many cultural institutions have been built. During the tour of the Lower Town visitors will pass the square that is dominated by the Croatian National Theater and the city parks and squares that make up the “green horseshoe”, which is considered a masterpiece of European historicism. The tour also includes many of Zagreb's oldest museums. It takes you to visit Mirogoj and then continues to the Upper Town and a tour of its historical sites – the Stone Gate, Lotrščak Tower, St. Mark's Church, etc., as well as the not-to-miss stop at Zagreb's main marketplace, Dolac. You can find all the information about sightseeing the city by City Tour minibus and how to make reservations at all the hotels, tourist agencies and tourist information centers. You can get 20% off your ticket price if you buy it with the Zagreb Card. Parents can buy tickets for children from age two to twelve with the same discount, while those under the age of 2 ride free.
