Over 2300 newspapers and magazines free of charge on mobile screens
The Esplanade, the most prestigious of Zagreb's hotels, was the first in the world to test the PressReader application which is now one of the free-of-charge services it offers. The Esplanade's guests can download over 2300 Croatian and foreign newspapers and magazines which are published in digital form in over 100 countries in 56 languages.
At the end of last year, the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel was the first in the world to offer its guests the PressReader Hot Zone service while the application was still being tested. In the meantime, the service has been included in the hotel's offer. As a result, the guests staying at this prestigious hotel can download, free of charge, over 2300 dailies and magazines which are published in digital form in over 100 countries worldwide in as many as 56 languages. In order to avail themselves of this free service, guests should connect their Smartphones or tablets to the hotel's super fast wireless internet and download the PressReader Application onto their devices from the link www.pressreader.com or through the App Store. Once downloaded, the application can be launched within the PressReader Hot Zone, and then one can choose from a host of titles and enjoy reading. Guests who do not have their own tablet will be provided with one by the hotel staff for the duration of their stay.
The hotel's guests responded enthusiastically to the PressReader application already during the testing stage. Now that the service has been included in the Esplanade's offer, it provides fast and easy access to the most recent news which is of quite some significance to business travellers. Besides, such services keep the guests in touch with home even when they are far away from it, which is certainly a huge selling point amid the fierce market competition. Besides being free of charge, the service is fast and easily accessible anywhere in the hotel, and last but not least, it is environmentally friendly. Currently, the PressReader application is used by only 180 hotels in the world.
