Promoting their album “7th Symphony”

As part of their European tour, the internationally popular band, Apocalyptica, will visit Zagreb on July 3rd. They will be promoting their latest album, “7th Symphony”, and this concert will be one of their most intimate club performances that European audiences will have an opportunity to see this summer.

After they sold-out the Lisinski Concert Hall five years ago, the internationally popular symphonic metal band from Finland, Apocalyptica, will once again visit Zagreb on July 3rd. The concert will take place as part of their European tour to promote their latest album, “7th Symphony”. Their Zagreb performance at the Boogaloo club will be one of the most intimate because all of their other concerts will be held as part of large European festivals.

The band consists of three known violoncellists, Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen and Perttu Kivilaakso, as well as drummer Mikko Síren. They will also be joined by the vocalist who is recorded on their latest album, which features eight instrumental and four vocal pieces.

Since the band’s formation in 1993, Apocalyptica has released six albums and gained global fame with their excellent violoncello covers of metal classics. The band was originally formed as a Metallica tribute band with classical instruments, but later they started performing their own hits. Their first original album was released in 2003 and they have thus far collaborated with numerous stars of the global rock and metal scene, such as Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, Rammstein, HIM, Bullet For my Valentine…

The opening act of the Zagreb concert will be one of the most prominent Croatian metal bands, Father. This band from Rijeka delighted Croatian audiences and critics with their latest studio album “One Eon”.
