Sing along with the legendary Shane MacGowan

On July 14th, Zagreb will be visited by the cult Irish band, The Pogues, with its original line-up headed by singing genius and founder of the band, Shane MacGowan. The concert has been organized as part of their latest European tour, and it will take place at the Šalata Sports Centre.

With its original line-up from 1981, the cult Irish band, The Pogues, will visit Zagreb on July 14th. As part of their European tour, they will be holding a concert at the Šalata Sports Centre, a venue large enough to accommodate countless fans of this cult band and their mega-popular frontman, Shane MacGowan. Although he founded the band 30 years ago, his presence in the band has been somewhat irregular since the 1990s as he has been performing frequently with his other band, Shane MacGowan And The Popes.

Aside from developing his solo career, he occasionally returns to perform with The Pogues as part of the original line-up: Spider Stacy, Jem Finer, Terry Woods, Philip Chevron, Darryl Hunt and Andrew Ranken. No matter where or with whom he performs, the quality of his songs guarantees not only great fun, but also high places on the global hit-charts. Although many of their songs date back to the 1980s, they are still frequently played on radio stations across the world.

If you are visiting Zagreb in mid-July, make sure not to miss this cult concert because, as fans will agree, there will be no better opportunity to hear hits such as “Dirty Old Town”, “The Irish Rover”, “Summer in Siam”, “A Pair of Brown Eyes”, “Sally MacLennane” or “Fairytale of New York”, performed live by the original line-up of The Pogues. Ticket prices in pre-sales are 220 Kuna, and they can be purchased at various locations throughout Zagreb, Osijek and Split.
