Stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard is coming to Zagreb

British stand-up comedy legend, Eddie Izzard, who has already conquered Madison Square Garden, London’s Wembley Stadium and O2 Arena, as well as many other venues in cities across the globe with his humour, will begin his largest world tour to date. He will, in fact, start with Croatia, where he will hold performances in Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Osijek.

In March, Croatia will be the starting point for the largest world tour ever by British stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard, who has already conquered much of the world with his humour.

His first performance in Croatia will take place in Dubrovnik on 22 March. On 24 March, he will be performing at Zagreb’s Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, while his last performance in Croatia is scheduled for 26 March in Osijek.

These performances will be part of his large tour, “Force Majeure”, which will take him on a journey across the world from Europe and Russia, across Japan to America. The fact that this comedy “madness” is starting in Croatia is a sign that the stand-up comedy scene in our country has grown over the last few years.

Eddie Izzard’s performances for Croatian audiences were organized by the renowned Croatian comedian Nino Bantić, one of the members of Radio 101’s legendary comedy group – Naughty Children, who invites excellent British comedians to Croatia on a monthly basis as part of the London Calling program. Of course, Eddie Izzard’s performance will be the largest comedy happening by far as the comedian in question is so highly regarded that the great John Cleese has proclaimed him a lost member of the Monty Python crew!

Across the world, Eddie is nowadays known as the man with a hundred faces and a million talents, which is why he fills venues in cities around the world to capacity when he presents his dry British humour. While inducing laughter he has conquered Madison Square Garden and London’s Wembley Stadium, as well as the O2 Arena, while he is the only comedian who has ever performed at L.A.’s legendary Hollywood Bowl.

He began his career as a street entertainer, speaking about the most sensitive topics from everyday life as well as pop culture. Soon he won over the world and today he enjoys major star status. He performs in theatres but also in big blockbusters, while DVD’s of his own comedy series sell by the million.
