The Biggest Dance Event in Croatia

The end of April appearance of the leading Israeli dance ensemble, Inbal Pinto Dance Company, announced the 25th Dance Week Festival which will take place at venues in Zagreb and Rijeka between 26 May and 3 June.

The 25th Dance Week Festival will take place between 26 May and 3 June in Zagreb and Rijeka. On the eve of the biggest dance festival in Croatia, the leading Israeli dance ensemble, Inbal Pinto Dance Company, performed in Zagreb. For two days in late April, Zagreb's audiences were once again delighted with their dancing skills. During their third guest appearance in Croatia, the Israeli dancers staged the performance of "Shaker" at Zagreb's Youth Theater and thus announced the upcoming 25th Dance Week Festival. Last year, the show's choreographers, Inbal Pinto and Avashalom Polak, received recognition from the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Education.
 
The Inbal Pinto Dance Company appeared before Zagreb's audiences for the first time ten years ago. At the 23rd Dance Week Festival, 8 years later, they won an award from the audience. The program of this year's dance festival features 13 titles from the repertoires of stages worldwide. A special attraction of the festival will be the guest appearance by the British Random Dance Company with their performance of "Entity" which had its world premiere in London on 10 April. The choreography is the work of one of the most important names in the world of contemporary dance, Wayne McGregor.

The organizer of the Dance Week Festival is the Croatian Institute for Dance and Movement. During the 24 years of its existence, the festival has presented over 50 premieres of works by domestic authors and brought to Croatia over 500 renowned artists from all over the world.
