The Restaurant Week Croatia

Following the successes of the two previous Restaurant Weeks in Zagreb, this year three-course meals priced at a hundred Kuna will be offered all over Croatia. Zagreb's high category hotels are also joining in as their bars will serve cocktails at promotional prices. (more)

The Restaurant Week Croatia will take place between the 26th of September and the 9th of October. This event, organized for the third consecutive year, will involve over 100 participating restaurants from all regions of Croatia. The participating restaurants will offer their patrons specially-designed three course meals – consisting of a starter, a main course and a desert – for the price of only 100 Kuna.

Following the successes of the first two annual Restaurant Weeks in Zagreb, this year's event will comprise all regions of Croatia. Fashioned in the style of similar events, which are held in capitals all over the world, such as New York and London, this promotional event is aimed at attracting numerous diners to restaurants and broadening their gastronomic culture. The patrons’ response to the previous two Restaurant Week events was quite impressive so there is no doubt that this type of event is the best way to promote Croatia's culinary offer.

This year’s Restaurant Week Croatia was launched on September 24th at the Oleander Terrace of the Regent Esplanade Hotel Zagreb where brunch was served, which comprised a selection of cocktails and snacks prepared for the guests by the participating restaurants and hotel bars. Namely, to join the world trend of sipping cocktails before dinner, Zagreb's high category hotels – Palace Hotel Zagreb, Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, The Regent Esplanade Zagreb and Arcotel Allegra Zagreb – have decided to participate in the Restaurant Week Croatia event. Under the slogan “To hotel for cocktail”, between 6 P.M. and 7:40 P.M. every day, the bars of the aforementioned hotels will serve cocktails at promotional prices ranging from 20 to 25 Kuna.

The interest in this year’s Restaurant Week is once again impressive, and it is certain to be well attended by those who wish to dine at one of the participating restaurants. For those who will not be able to reserve their place for a meal during this event, there is a consolation event: the “Mobile Soups” which will take place between the 3rd and the 10th of October. Every day, between noon and 3 P.M., a branded lorry full of soups prepared by the restaurants participating in the Restaurant Week Croatia will be parked at Josip Jelačić Square; all the soups will cost 10 Kuna apiece.
