The Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall – A Top Flight Musical Experience with Pat Metheny

A versatile musician, songwriter and guitarist with an incredible technique, an imaginative improviser with an original sound, one of the best and most important world guitarists of all time Pat Metheny is performing on 2 May in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall.

Metheny during his long career has attained enviable popularity and has won many awards, including 20 Grammys in a variety of categories. This is a musician who combines various musical styles from progressive jazz and post-bop via Latino influences

and fusion, and recently DownBeat magazine, nominated him, along with many jazz legends such as Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christ and Wes Montgomery, the youngest member and one of only four guitarists to their Hall of Fame.

Metheny is coming to Zagreb, where he last performed six years ago, as part of a new tour “An Evening With Pat Metheny”. His performance at Lisinski will also feature: Antonio Sanchez, Metheny's longstanding musical collaborator and one of the best drummers in the world; contrabass player of Malay-Australian origin Linda Oh and British pianist Gwilym Simcock.
