The Zagreb Majorettes - Once again on the throne of Europe
Having recently defended their European champions’ title, the Zagreb Majorettes have once again proven their mettle in all three age groups, and shown there is a good reason why they are currently on the European throne.
The Zagreb Majorettes are the European champions, and becoming one of them is many a young girl’s dream if we just look at the number of applications for new member auditions which have been pouring in over the last several days. This is not surprising as the results they achieve and activities they participate in make the Zagreb Majorettes the perfect ambassadors of their city and a true symbol of Zagreb. They have recently defended their European champions’ title. Having won gold medals in the cadet, junior and senior age groups, they have once again proven excellence in what they do.
The Zagreb Majorettes were founded in 1993. There are currently more than 600 members between the ages of 3 and 25 who participate in up to 250 performances a year. Apart from in Croatia, they have thus far performed in 22 countries in Europe, America and Asia where they have promoted Zagreb. According to an estimate by the Dutch company SPH, their performances are seen live by 12 million people each year.
Apart from having demonstrated their skills in numerous performances, the Zagreb Majorettes are also proud bearers of many trophies, including 18 championships of Croatia and 14 European championships. These great successes are the result of systematic and continuous hard work.
