Zagreb Day

Marking Zagreb Day on Saturday, May 31st, the Zagreb Tourist Board is gifting the citizens of Zagreb and the visitors with a guided tour of Zagreb.

The guided tours start at 10 am, noon, 4 pm and 9 pm from the Tourist Information Centre on Ban Jelačić Square and reservations are not necessary.

The tour includes a visit to the Upper Town and encounters with figures from the Zagreb Time Machine. Every tour lasts two hours and ends at the Strossmayer Promenade. At noon you can see the changing of the guard of the Honorary Cravat Regiment on St Mark's Square, as well as all the other programs of Zagreb Time Machine project, according to its standard timetable and schedule.

As a reminder, on Friday May 30, the Mayor will award prizes in all 12 categories of the competition "Uljepšajmo naš Zagreb" (“Let’s make our Zagreb prettier”) at palace Dverce. The Zagreb Tourist Board participated in the evaluation of four categories: Zagreb's most beautiful street, The most beautiful square in neighbourhood, The most beautiful terrace of a restaurant and The most beautiful private garden.

At the end, we must not forget to mention, the procession devoted to Our Lady of Kamenita Vrata, the patron saint of Zagreb. The procession commences after Mass held at the Zagreb Cathedral at 7 pm and concludes with prayers at the shrine of Our Lady of Kamenita Vrata.
