Zagreb’s tourist and information centres are getting much praise from guests for the helpfulness and friendliness of their staff who know the answers to each and every question about Zagreb, its offer and many other aspects of everyday life.
Zagreb has another tourist attraction – the Zagreb Eye, a viewing point in the heart of the city, located atop the skyscraper at Ban Josip Jelačić Square and offering unique views of the entire city.
On May 31st, the day of the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb Tourist Board is organizing free sightseeing tours of the city for Zagreb’s citizens and their guests, as well as many other interesting outdoor events.
Between May 1st and May 5th, Zagreb’s Jarun Lake will be the venue for two festivals – the 1st Jarun Picnic Festival and the 2nd Zagreb Adventure Festival, the latter is scheduled to take place over the weekend. Visit the Island of Croatian Youth and enjoy numerous exciting sporting activities and other forms of entertainment.
If you find yourself in Zagreb between May 21st and 23rd, do not miss the opportunity to partake in the Festival of Equal Opportunities in the city’s main square of Ban Josip Jelačić. The festival is a unique international event of urban culture, whose interesting and diverse programme will be performed by disabled persons.
Performing in Zagreb for the first time as part of their European tour with which they are promoting their latest studio album “Fade”, one of the most renowned American indie rock bands, Yo La Tengo, will hold a concert on November 8th at Tvornica Kulture (The Culture Factory).
Between May 10th and May 12th, the Arena Centre will be the venue for the 3rd Zagreb Auto Week. Apart from presentations of new models from the auto-industry, the event will feature two new fairs – the Auto Service Show and the G-Tuning Show.
Once again, this year, between May 29th and June 5th, the Bundek Lake will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors during the popular international garden exhibition Floraart, which is taking place for the 48th consecutive year.
