Until April 28th, the Zagreb City Museum will feature an exhibition - “I, Jacobus Apothecarius – from the apothecary to industry”, which tells the story of the city’s social and cultural development from the perspective of an important profession.
American indie rock band, The National, will once again visit Zagreb, one of the seven cities in which they will perform as part of their latest European tour. The concert in Zagreb will take place at Šalata on July 2nd.
Zagreb has always been famous for an impressive assortment of excellent cakes. It will soon offer yet another treat to all its citizens with a sweet tooth – the Austrian café bar and pastry shop chain Aida will open its doors in the Croatian capital.
Zagreb has recently seen the opening of its first caravanserai on Vlaška Street, a place where visitors can relax over tea or coffee after a long day at work or travelling. An exhibition area and a souvenir shop offer a glimpse into the impressive diversity of Oriental cultures.
As of the beginning of the year, Zagreb boasts yet another museum to go with countless others – the first Croatian automobile museum “Ferdinand Budicki”. Around 50 pristine classic vehicles, including the Ford Model T and legendary Vespa scooters, are displayed on over 1500 square metres of the old Pluto factory.
As part of his “Take The Crown” European tour, the biggest British pop star, Robbie Williams, will hold a concert in Zagreb at Maksimir Stadium on 13 August.
The second edition of the International Tourism Fair Place2go, which will take place between 15 and 17 March at the Zrinjevac – Boćarski Dom, will once again present the best holiday destinations in Croatia as well as abroad. Visitors can look forward to numerous events and valuable awards.
After performing at Split’s Poljud stadium in 2008, the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden is coming to Zagreb this summer. They will perform at Arena Zagreb on 31 July as part of their 'Maiden England World Tour', the European half of their world tour which began in America last year.

Der Konzertsaal Lisinski hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war ein ganz besonderes Gefühl dort aufzutreten, weil die Menschen aufmerksam zugehört und die Musik mit ihren Herzen gefühlt haben. Lisinski ist ein wunderschöner Konzertsaal und ich fühle mich geehrt, dass ich dort auftreten darf. Mein erster Auftritt im Lisinski ist mir in sehr schöner Erinnerung geblieben.

Zagreb ist mir als wunderschöne Stadt in Erinnerung geblieben, und die Menschen, die ich kennengelernt habe, waren sehr nett und haben mich sehr warm empfangen. Das Publikum war ebenfalls wunderbar. Dieses Konzert ist für mich wie ein schönes Souvenir.

Ich freue mich auf Zagreb als den Ort, an dem ich mich immer wohl fühle und habe den Eindruck, als ob zu viel Zeit vom letzten Besuch vergangen wäre, obwohl er nur etwas mehr als ein Jahr zurückliegt.
