The redesigned website of the Zagreb Tourist Board now offers the possibility of browsing in 14 different languages. Among an array of new features is the possibility of online hotel booking; moreover, there are plans to expand to more social networking sites.
It is time for the last reminder of the exhibition by Gilbert and George, which opened in June. The exhibition, entitled “Jack Freak Pictures”, by the famous British artists can be seen at the Museum of Contemporary Art until September 12th. Since this is their final big exhibition, it would be a shame to miss it.

Apart from swimming and five clean beaches, marked by blue flags, Jarun offers an array of sports facilities, an excellent gastronomic selection and a diverse nightlife in several popular clubs.
As of mid-July, Zagreb has its honour guard; the brave Kravat regiment, which will present its customs to tourists every Saturday and Sunday, starting at noon. The two hour ceremony of the changing of the guards and a subsequent patrol of the town are complemented by stories about the advent of the cravat, originally invented by the soldiers of this famous regiment in the 17th century.
Vanda Šagovac is the first licensed guide for deaf people in Europe. For the second year in a row, she is introducing deaf tourists to Zagreb’s landmarks and legends, which are nowhere as interestingly described in travel brochures as they are in reality.
From August 28th until September 3rd, Zagreb will once again host the 43rd International Puppet Theatre Festival, the popular “PIF.” Some twenty professional, as well as amateur, theatre troupes from Croatia and abroad will present their skills to the Zagreb audience and, as always, the audience will have an opportunity to enjoy original stories with puppets as main protagonists.
The Zagreb Tourist Board and Katapult Promotion are the organizers of the night tour “Secrets of Grič”, which one can embark on every Friday and Saturday night, starting at 9 p.m. The tour includes a specifically devised programme and it is guided by numerous costumed characters.
Fun is guaranteed every day throughout August, thanks to the popular Summer at Stross event. From morning until dark, entertainment is ongoing at the Upper Town Strossmayer promenade: from artist colonies to concerts, theatre plays, films, fairs and other such programs. Everyone will find something to suit their tastes and the Summer at Stross event will last until September 4th.
