    Fossils as inspiration in fashion design

You have a chance to find out before the beginning of March next year if you visit the Croatian Natural History Museum where an interesting exhibition titled “Sutures, Structures, Textures” is being held. The exhibition is an unusual representation of the ties between geology and palaeontology as inspiration for new design motifs!

    Miniature Storm

    If you are interested in one of the most important events of modern Croatian history, the military operation Storm, the last major operation of the Homeland War, you should know that the most interesting details from it have been presented in an exhibition featured at the Technical Museum, which consists of military scale models of vehicles that participated in the operation. The exhibition can be viewed until 18th November.

    “Mother Africa” to offer true African wilderness!

    On 23rd February next year, Zagreb will be exposed to the exotic rhythms and traditional culture of Africa, brought to the Croatian capital by one of the most innovative circuses in the world, Mother Africa. Its performers will present the colours and rhythms of the “cradle of humanity” through a combination of traditional African folklore and modern circus.

    A nostalgic representation of the most widespread taboo

    The Glyptotheque of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts is the venue for the currently most provocative, yet entirely ordinary exhibition themed around the most widespread culturological taboo today – smoking. If you are interested in the phenomenon of smoking in Croatia, told through fascinating exhibits, make sure to hurry as the exhibition ends on 11th November.

    The celebrated music diva, Macy Gray, who broke through on the global music scene with her hits from the year 2000, will visit Zagreb for the second time on 25th November, where she will promote her latest album “Covered”, her best yet according to critics, at the Culture Factory.

    Penkala – a perfect Croatian souvenir

    Have you ever wondered, whilst writing with a mechanical pencil, who invented it? If you find yourself in the Croatian capital, you have an ideal opportunity to learn more about the mechanical pencil – popularly known as penkala in Croatia. Its inventor, Slavoljub Penkala, opened one of the largest writing implement factories in the world in the early 20th century right here in Zagreb.

The museum building itself had left a great impression on him, and we are sure his works will leave a great impression on the audience.

    Jesse Eisenberg a passé l'automne 2007 à Zagreb. Zagreb est une ville étonnante. J'ai apprécié les visites des vieux quartiers de la ville, et le soir je sortais aux clubs. J'ai été ravi par le fait que cette vile se trouve près de l'Autriche et l'Italie, alors j'allais à Venise, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split pour passer mes week-ends.

    J'ai aimé beaucoup la salle de concert "Lisinski". C'était un sentiment très puissant parce que les gens sont venus et ils ont écouté et senti la musique dans le cœur. "Lisinski" est une belle salle  et je suis très honoré d'avoir l'opportunité d'y performer. Mon premier concert à "Lisinski" m'est resté en très bon souvenir.

    Zagreb est resté dans ma mémoire comme une belle ville. Les gens que j'y ai rencontré étaient très gentils, ils m'ont offert un accueil chaleureux. Le public, lui aussi, était belle. En effet, ce concert m'était comme un beau souvenir.
