Emirates, the largest airline in the world, will from 1 June be flying every day from Croatia to Dubai. Tickets start at 399 Euro, visas are not required for Croatian citizens, passengers will travel in a Boeing 777-300 and have the option of first class onboard services on their flight to the Middle East.
The British budget carrier Monarch Airlines has announced that is starting up two new routes to Zagreb. Monarch will fly between Zagreb and London three times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 28 April 2017. Between Zagreb and Manchester Monarch will fly twice a week between 29 April and 28 August 2017.
For the second year running the Swanky Mint Hostel has been voted the best hostel in Croatia. In 2017 another Hoscar is in their hands. The most entertaining and magnificent masked ball in Zagreb will be held on 25 February in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Revellers at Lisinski this year will dance in fancy dress to the sounds of the pop group Colonia and its charismatic singer Indira.
In the Museum of Arts and Crafts from 2 February to 5 March visitors can enjoy an exhibition of photographs of the musical genius and artistic chameleon David Bowie, taken by Brian Rašić, as part of the Rovinj Photodays Festival.
