Zagreb has just been proclaimed the second best destination in Europe in 2014. This is yet another in the series of splendid awards and recognitions which have contributed to the ever growing number of visitors. Those who come to Zagreb say: This city is love at first sight!
Over 150 exhibitors from 16 countries will present their offer to the visitors of the 3rd International Tourism Fair Place2go which will be held between March 14th and 16th in Boćarski dom. For the first time ever, there will be a fair about seasonal jobs, “Cro Summer Job 2014”, intended for students and all those who are looking for or are offering employment opportunities.
Make room in your agenda for a visit to the 2nd Food and Wine Festival which will take place between April 3rd and 5th in Arena Zagreb. A true adventure awaits you on a gastronomic journey through Croatia whose country partner at this year's festival will be Italy.
On June 10th the Zagreb Fair will be the venue for a concert by one of the most renowned contemporary rock bands – Queens of the Stone Age. They will make the perfect opening act for the INmusic Festival, the largest open-air festival in Croatia, taking place between June 23rd and 26th and featuring some of the biggest names from the global music scene.
Lord of the Dance will again be staged at the Dražen Petrović Basketball Centre on March 21st and 22nd. As part of their European tour, they will also perform in Varaždin and Rijeka.
On every last Friday of the month, the Archaeological Museum, the Art Pavilion and the Modern Gallery will be open between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. as part of the “Long Friday” on the Lenuci’s Horseshoe action for all those who wish to view these museums’ treasures at popular prices.
