Summer in Zagreb is truly a special time of the year. The life of the city is transferred to streets and squares, parks and terraces, but it does not lose any of its intensity. Even more, this is a perfect time for planned and unexpected encounters, surprises in a form of music, symbolic trips to times long gone or enjoying rhythms of the dynamic present.

Summer in Zagreb starts in the best possible way: with Zagreb Classic, a festival of classical music which earned the status of the most significant cultural event during summer with its excellent programme and world – class performers from Croatia and the globe. This year there is an additional reason to attend this open- air festival in the romantic King Tomislav Square: we will celebrate the tenth anniversary since Croatia became a member of the European Union with music.

There are numerous intriguing exhibitions, festivals, film and dance programmes as well as other events in the very centre of the city which will make summer days interesting and pleasant for all generations. There is also an opportunity to attend workshops and learn about traditions of Zagreb and master new skills that will make your everyday life more interesting but also become a special souvenir and a permanent reminder of Zagreb.

When you wish for a bit of recreation, we advise going to city parks such as Maksimir, recreational zones Jarun and Bundek and the nearby summit Sljeme, which has recently received another attraction.

Summer in Zagreb is a chance to get to know this city in a different way and enjoy its activities and excellent atmosphere.
