To celebrate 150 years of existence, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts has opened an exhibition “The Pioneers of Croatian Posters”. The exhibition features works by the most eminent Croatian artists who contributed to the development of graphic design in Croatia, which has its roots in the late 19th century.

The Croatian Government's decided to temporarily suspend the country’s visa regime between April 1st and October 31st. This announcement made entry into Croatia easier for tourists from Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, India, China, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

In accordance with a well-rooted tradition of Zagreb, May is the month for the international festival of classical music: St. Mark's Festival. This annual event successfully unites the local and international musical heritages, which complement one another.

In April, Zagreb was enriched by two new, large shopping centres: Cvjetni, located in the heart of the city; and Kvaternik Plaza, located only several tram-stops from the city centre. Both shopping centres feature new stores.

After last year’s premiere, the 2nd International Blues Festival will take place this year in Zagreb between the 9th and the 12th of June. The festival will feature a real sensation: spectacular performances by American blues singer, Big Daddy Wilson; and the legendary harmonica master, Charlie Musselwhite.

After accumulating a lot of praise last year, the Croatian cabaret with an international crew, called the Red Room, will once again heat up Zagreb nightlife. Proclaimed by the media as one of the greatest surprises of theatre art and the performance scene, the Red Room will be performing between the 6th and the 8th of May at Jedinstvo Factory.

A favourite excursion destination for numerous citizens of Zagreb, the Medvednica Nature Park soars above the city. It is one of the most popular nature parks in Croatia, with a million visits each year.

Until July 10th, the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery will be the venue for the largest cultural event of the year: “Pompeii – Life in the Shadow of Vesuvius”. This exhibition is a continuation of the trend of organizing large projects at the museum.
