The Museum of Broken Relationships, one of the newest museums in Zagreb, has recently been proclaimed as the most innovative European museum of 2011. On the 21st and the 22nd of June, the Island of Croatian Youth at Zagreb’s Jarun Lake will once again be the venue for yet another music spectacle, the T-Mobile INmusic Festival, which will feature numerous world-famous musicians.

To celebrate 20 years of Croatia and Slovenia’s independence, as well as the 140th anniversary of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, on July 4th more than 1100 musicians from the two countries will gather at the Zagreb Arena to perform Gustav Mahler’s “Symphony of a Thousand”, one of the greatest masterpieces of music ever composed. Make sure to be part of this mega-spectacle of the decade.

One of Zagreb’s trump cards is certainly the world festival of animated film: Animafest. This event will feature the best of the world’s current cartoons between May 31st and June 5th.

Between the 8th and 12th of June, one of the best European street festivals, Zagreb’s Cest is d'Best, will once again provide audiences with loads of unexpected fun! Elation, energy and laughter are just some of the characteristics of this entertaining annual street festival, which is celebrating its 15th edition.

In less than two months since its opening, Zagreb’s newest nightclub, Mansion, is already among the world elite. Furthermore, on September 15th, 80 elite nightclubs across the world will be taking part in the largest ever “Global Party” and Zagreb’s newest club will be representing Croatia as one of the selected 80.

In the shade of chestnut tree canopies, in one of Zagreb’s most romantic promenades, yet another “Summer at Stross” will be taking place from the end of May until September 4th. It is an event that will delight all tourists and offer the best insight into what we often refer to as “the true spirit of old Zagreb”.

For the sixth summer in a row, between June 27th and July 9th, Ribnjak Park will feature yet another open-air “Park-in-Zagreb” festival. This event is intended for all who wish to spend the hot summer days interacting with young people from all over the world.
