The Third Scholarship Fair organized at the National and University Library of Zagreb with the participation of very respectable Croatian and foreign institutions, presented over 70 scholarships and other forms of financial assistance available to Croatian citizens interested in university education in Croatia and abroad.

Following the examples of some other European cities, Zagreb will add a network of 300 cameras to those already operating at the busiest traffic hubs, which will monitor all the thoroughfares and crossroads under the control of the Center for Automatic Traffic Control.

Croatia is the homeland of the tie, a universally recognized and valued symbol of politeness and business efficiency. The Day of the Tie was marked on 18 October. On that day, four years ago, a spectacular event, “Tie”, was staged around the Arena in Pula. The media brought the happening to over a billion people. Zagreb also took part in marking the day of one of the best known Croatian legacies and a recognizable souvenir of Croatia and Zagreb.
