Štrukli is certainly one of the most popular dishes in Croatian Zagorje and Zagreb. From now on, it will be protected by law as an authentic Zagorje and Croatian brand. When in Zagreb, do not forget to taste it – you will become an aficionado.

On Saturday, 29 September, the World Tourism Day was marked by a celebration organized in Zagreb's Zrinjevac Park. Zagreb's citizens and their guests enjoyed the performances of numerous folklore groups and ensembles, rides in old horse-drawn carriages and the tastes of typical Zagreb delicacies.

Last August, Zagreb reaffirmed its position as a town that attracts the interests of an increasing number of tourists. Their numbers were as much as 21 per cent higher than the same month the year before. The results recorded in the first eight months of the year have confirmed: a new city break star has been born!

The tourist area "Across Sutla and Žumberak", to the Northwest of Zagreb, includes numerous tourist attractions. The area is in close proximity to the Croatian capital and thus, it will provide a lot of pleasure to the city guests who chose it for their outing.

Until October 21st , visitors of the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery can familiarize themselves with the great and hitherto unknown cultural wealth of Dalmatian Zagora. Three thousand exhibits are on display at a unique exhibition named "The Dalmatian Zagora - an Unknown Land" which has involved the work of as many as seventy scientists.

To mark the 11th European Bat Night, the Maksimir Park Zoo organized entertainment and educational events to teach children about the need to protect and preserve this endangered species through fun activities and games.

The recognizable touch of simplicity and functionality is the prevalent note at the exhibition taking place at the Arts and Crafts Museum: Scandinavian Design - Beyond the Myth. The exhibition is open to the public from 23 September to 18 November.

At the beginning of September, the Zagreb Electrical Tram celebrated the 116 year anniversary of the opening of the first tram line in Zagreb. The first passengers took a tram ride way back in 1891, and the tram carriages moved on tracks and were pulled by horses.
